County commission debates new ambulance purchase
During the Finance Officer’s report portion of the regular meeting of the Vance County Board of Commissioners on Monday night, members debated the proposed purchase of a new Type III 2009 ambulance.
Wednesday’s open line
The Henderson City Council recently proposed a rule regarding attendance by members of various city committees to the effect that if a member misses three meetings, they will be replaced. Will the rule also apply to members of the city council who miss three or more meetings? Perhaps a member of the council could enlighten us on today’s open line.

During the report of the Vance County Board of Commissioners’ General Government Committee on Monday evening, County Manager Jerry Ayscue reported that the committee had determined that funding a private school was not a legal use of public money.
