Two city public hearings delayed


Due to a failure to meet public notice requirements, the Henderson City Council will be unable to hold two public meetings that had been scheduled for tonight’s meeting.

The first hearing regarded a request to rezone 13.44 acres off of Wortham Court from B2A to O1A. The second was on a request to rezone a half acre at 1713 N. Garnett Street from I-2 to B-4.

A third public hearing regarding Gateway CDC’s application for Community Development Block Grant funds in connection with Phase II of the A.L. Harris Subdivision will be held as scheduled.

The FAIR Committee will present information regarding the contract with Variety Wholesalers and the Embassy on the parking lot.

The Community Development Committee will clarify information on the Bobbitt Street sewer.

There will be an update on the Graffiti Ordinance and a committee report on the curfew ordinance.

The Land Planning Committee may update on the dispostion of the Armory, city-owned properties listed for sale, and the dispostion of the former Rose Avenue library.
