It was announced this morning that President Gerald Ford died yesterday at the age of 93.
Although his pardon of President Richard Nixon was controversial, and most likely cost him a term of his own in 1976, he succeeded in holding the country together through the twin traumas of Watergate and the aftermath of the Vietnam War.
We mourn his passing.
