Schools delayed two hours
Kerr-Vance Academy, Vance Charter School, Vance County Schools, Vance-Granville Community College, and Victory Christian School will be operating on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
County commissioners’ meeting to be rescheduled
Due to the possibility of icy roads tonight, the meeting of the Vance County Board of Commissioners will be called to order only to reconvene for tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. (not 6:00 p.m.). The public hearing for tonight will need to be rescheduled for a later date. Also, the Human Resources Committee meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

We received notice this week that with the passage of the federal stimulus bill, North Carolina is on track to receive about $6.1 billion over the next 27 months.
Monday’s open line
The weather report keeps saying snow, but as of the writing of this open line, I don’t believe it. The trend has been in recent years to “sensationalize” the weather and give us the worst-case scenario without regard as to probability.
