Arrest made for David Street shooting


On October 22, 2009 members of the Henderson Police Department responded to a person shot on David Street in Henderson, North Carolina.

Upon the arrival of officers, Seneca Henderson, an 18 year-old black male, was found shot once in the right leg. He was transported to a local medical center and was treated and released.

On October 26, 2009 members of the Henderson Police Department’s Investigations Section arrested and charged Dyquarium Moore, an 18 year-old black male and resident of Powell Street in Henderson, North Carolina. Moore was charged with possession of a handgun by a minor, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm in the city, and going armed to the terror of the public in the shooting of Seneca Henderson. Moore was given a $125,000 secured bond and remains in the Vance County Jail pending a court hearing on November 16, 2009.
