Henderson man arrested for shots fired

On Tuesday December 21, 2010, members of the Henderson Police Department responded to the area of Rockspring and Garnett Streets in response to a call of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a vehicle being operated by Leon Daniel had been struck by gunfire.

After conducting an investigation into the matter, Det. J. M. Hammond of the Criminal Investigation obtained warrants on Jammee Durchea Terry, 19, of 615 Vaughan Street in Henderson, North Carolina.

Terry was arrested Friday December 24, 2010 by Deputy Dozer of the Vance County Sheriff’s Department while responding to a trespassing call at 45 Pine Street in Middleburg. Warrants were served on Terry by Officer P. Meyers of the Henderson Police Department. Terry was placed in the Vance County Jail under no bond with a preliminary hearing in Vance County District Court set for January 11, 2011.

At this time, the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
