We’d like to remind everyone of a free event this evening in downtown Henderson, NC. 2011’s first of three free “Meet Me in the Street” concerts is scheduled for Thursday, May 26. Featured band will be The Castaways. A reputable band known throughout the South, The Castaways posses nearly fifty years of experience in the beach music industry. From their beginning in Durham in 1961, The Castaways have been pleasing audiences with their unique flavor of Beach, Soul, and Rock N’ Roll for generations. The free concert will take place on Breckenridge Street from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
We hope that everyone will come out this afternoon from 5:30 until 8:30 to hear The Castaways band at the first “Meet Me in the Street” of the year! The presenting sponsor is Harris Incorporated of Henderson and Budweiser! Chatham Hill Winery will be here for the first time and make sure you look for the new “Meet Me in the Street” t-shirts at the Coca-Cola trailer! Chester’s, Pizza Hut and Community Workforce Solutions will be there with their specialty foods, including for the first time, fried corn-on- the-cob! (Many, many other sponsors to thank!)
Directions for newcomers: This event will be held between the police station and the library at the intersection of Breckenridge and Wyche Streets at Embassy Square downtown.

I had asked awhile back for anyone having had any dealings with Mariah Parham Hospital in Henderson, NC I didn’t get much of a response , but I am asking again anyway. I am in process of taking steps to right things that went wrong with my stay there. It would be very helpful if I had more stories to go with mine. I will in no way slander or libel them. I have the right to speak about what happened to me there. A couple of folks came forward and I will tell you as I told them, if they want to add their stories to mine-both good and bad,if I have enough I will be contacting the proper people to help me and you with problem. So if you have good things to say, I want to know and same goes from the bad to worse things.
