Welcome back from the holiday weekend, we hope that everyone had a great one. For the weekly address, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama offer a special holiday tribute to the men and women who wear our country’s uniform and the families who support them.
The West Wing Week, a behind the scenes look at the administration for the past week is your guide to everything that’s happening at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. With the holidays in full swing and the countdown clock ticking away, the President continued to press for the extension of the payroll tax cut for 160 million working Americans and unemployment insurance benefits for millions of others looking for work. The President urged House Republicans to put aside their political games and pass the bill that’s garnered overwhelming, bipartisan support in the US Senate. That’s December 16th to December 22nd or “#40dollars.”
Tuesday’s weather shows storms today, a high of about 60 with the chance of high winds, leading to tornadoes in the afternoon, although unlikely.
We didn’t get much news over the holiday break, I suspect it will be a slow news week, but feel free to eat up the open lines!
Just let the White House post the cost of the Obamas’ Hawaiian Vacation. They have no shame.
You are on to something there, Prudence. Is it something like 14 million for 7 days? I am probably incorrect. Reminds me of the time ‘W’ would take his vacations to Crawford, Texas. I will say the timing of this is not unusual as the camp is preparing for the campaign push. This time next year we could very well be looking at a lame duck administration should the Republicans take the election. We should all ready ourselves for the political punchlines to soar.
