The North Carolina Department of Revenue, in partnership with Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center, will present a free seminar, called “Business Essentials,” on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. until Noon in Room 7107 on VGCC’s Main Campus in Vance County.
In this seminar, the Department of Revenue will cover basic requirements to help businesses in North Carolina understand the laws and obligations necessary to be a compliant business.
Participants will become familiar with North Carolina tax laws that are pertinent to businesses and the responsibilities of a business owner. The seminar will cover a range of information including how to register a business and how to properly fill out and send a tax return. Information will also be provided on the Small Business Taxpayer Recovery Program. The seminar will conclude with a question and answer session, and there will also be time allotted for business owners to network.
