Shooting on Bane Avenue in Henderson, Rewards Offered for Information


On Tuesday, April 28, 2015 members of the Henderson Police Department Patrol Operations Division responded to 1106 Bane Avenue in response to someone shot. Officers located Bakariek Leonard, 19, 1000 Foster Road, Henderson lying on the parking lot. Leonard was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

The Henderson Police Department is currently seeking two suspects in this matter. The suspects were described as black males. The first suspect was described as approximately 5’8”, dreadlocks, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Suspect number 2 was described as being 5’11” with short curly hair and a thin build. Witnesses indicate the suspects fled on foot but were later seen getting into a white vehicle.

The victim was taken to Duke Medical Center where he is currently undergoing medical treatment.
