Arrest Made from Shooting on West Andrews Avenue
On Friday morning, October 16, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department Patrol Operations Division responded to Gate City Foods, 601 W. Andrews Avenue in Henderson. Arriving officers found Jimmie Davis, 26, suffering from a gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Davis and another individual, Dyquarium Moore were fired upon after they exited the store. NCDOT Begins Work Next Week on the Triangle Expressway
RALEIGH –The N.C. Department of Transportation will begin work next week to repair pavement settlement issues on the Triangle Expressway at two locations. RALEIGH – County governments and nonprofit groups pursuing farmland preservation projects have until Dec. 18 to apply for funding assistance from the N.C. Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund. This year’s request for proposals includes statewide general appropriations of $1.6 million for traditional farm preservation projects and an additional $1 million to protect military base and training buffers. Raleigh –The N.C. Department of Transportation has received word the Federal Highway Administration has signed the draft environmental impact statement (EIS) for the project known as Complete 540. This work will extend the Triangle Expressway from the N.C. 55 Bypass in Apex to the U.S. 64/U.S. 264 Bypass in Knightdale, completing the 540 Outer Loop around the greater Raleigh area.
