To the editor: Embarrassed by coaches
This letter was edited due to potentially defamitory statements. — Ed. As a parent of a child who has played with the Vance County Recreation Department, I am concerned over the selection of coaches for our rec teams who do not represent the kind of individuals who should lead or guide our very impressionable children.

A close reading of the newly-passed budget ordinance indicated that it is based on a tax collection rate of 93.2%. In the world of education or restaurant sanitation, that’s a pretty good grade. Council approves new budget
The Henderson City Council approved the budget for fiscal 2006-2007 in a unanimous vote on Monday evening.
Council votes for insurance or cash
