Phony Cops Are Scamming Business Owners
A Wake County restaurant has fallen victim to a scam that targets employers. The Bonefish Grill in Cary received a call from someone claiming to be a law officer. The phony cop identified an employee at the restaurant by name, saying the employee had been arrested for driving while impaired. December 29th, a home on Lynnbank Road was broken into by Anthony Henderson Jr, 19 years old. Anthony met a 14 year old resident unexpectedly as he came around the corner and the intruder received a shotgun blast to the chest. Employee Theft Charge gets $70,000 Bond
On December 23, 2011 members of the Special Operations Division arrested Jessie Heatherly Jacobs, a W/F of 4042 Cannady Mill Road, Kittrell. Jacobs was charged with (7) seven counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument, (7) seven counts of Forgery of Instrument, and (7) seven counts of Larceny by Employee. The victim in this case is SERVPRO of Henderson. Jacobs has been placed in the Vance County Jail under a $70,000 bond and a court date of January 30th 2012.
