Rodriquez Crudup On January 13, 2011 members of the Henderson Police Department were conducting patrols in the area of America’s Best Value Inn, 200 Parham Road, when the officers located suspicious activity. A Wake County restaurant has fallen victim to a scam that targets employers. The Bonefish Grill in Cary received a call from someone claiming to be a law officer. The phony cop identified an employee at the restaurant by name, saying the employee had been arrested for driving while impaired. He relayed a request from the employee, asking the restaurant to wire money for bail. The phony cop was convincing and in an effort to assist its employee the restaurant …

On December 21, 2011 members of the Henderson Police Department Vice/Narcotics Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Andrews Ave, Henderson NC.  After further investigation, a Schedule I Controlled Substance was located. December 29th, a home on Lynnbank Road was broken into by Anthony Henderson Jr, 19 years old.  Anthony met a 14 year old resident unexpectedly as he came around the corner and the intruder received a shotgun blast to the chest.  He did not survive the wound.   17 year old resident and his sister hid in a bedroom and called 911.  Another man was sought, Andrew Terry, 23 years old as well, and he has been found and arrested.  …

On December 23, 2011 members of the Special Operations Division arrested Jessie Heatherly Jacobs, a W/F of 4042 Cannady Mill Road, Kittrell. Jacobs was charged with (7) seven counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument, (7) seven counts of Forgery of Instrument, and (7) seven counts of Larceny by Employee. The victim in this case is SERVPRO of Henderson. Jacobs has been placed in the Vance County Jail under a $70,000 bond and a court date of January 30th 2012.

On December 21, 2011 around 1:43 AM officers with the Henderson Police Department located a breaking and entering that had just occurred at the new site for Dollar General on N. Updated on 12/21/2011 – On December 20, 2011, Charlotte Pendergrass turned herself into the Henderson Police Department after her wanted picture being posted in numerous media outlets. Ms. Pendergrass was charged with four counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense and four counts of misdemeanor worthless checks. The Henderson Police Department is recognizing two officers as Co-Officers of the Month for November 2011. On November 27, 2011, Section 3 officers were dispatched to the Henderson Convention Center on Wortham Court to assist the Vance County Sheriff’s Department with a large crowd.
