Editor’s Note: This is a reprint of an article composed by HiH founder Michael Jacobs and originally published on May 27, 2005. It is reprinted here in the hopes it can clear up some of the confusion regarding the City’s budget and fund balance. Henderson’s auditor didn’t have to explain any budget overruns or $400,000 mistakes when he appeared before City Council members Thursday night because, according to the state’s Local Government Commission, no such problems exist.
