As we progress into summer, it won’t be long before it’s time to pull out the irrigation equipment. Most plants, including turf, vegetable gardens, flowers and shrubs need about one inch of water each week (perhaps a bit more in late July and August). Boil Water Advisory Lifted
As of 8:00 am Wednesday June 7th, 2017, the Kerr Lake Regional Water System no longer requires boiling of water before consumption. Users of the water system may now use water without conservation or boiling of water.

Water Restrictions Lifted
The Kerr Lake Regional Water System is now pumping finished water at its normal rate. Mandatory water conservation has been lifted; however the boil water advisory for human consumption is in effect until further notice. Based on the continual investigation of the problem it appears that the cause of the pump run failure is a malfunction of the SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system.

Traffic Pattern Changes Coming This Week for the I-85 Improvement Project in Vance and Warren Counties
Additional traffic shifts are set to begin this week for the Interstate 85 improvement project between Vance County and the Virginia state line. The most significant change will be I-85 southbound traffic being shifted to the northbound side of the interstate between the Virginia state line and Oine Road.
