Vance-Granville Community College has named student Geoffrey Arnott of Oxford as its recipient of the North Carolina Community College System’s Academic Excellence Award for 2015. One student from each of the 58 colleges in the state system is honored with the award each year. Animal Cruelity in Kittrell – Reward Offered for Info
On Friday, February 27, 2015 a volunteer working with the Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society witnessed two individuals discarding items on a rural road in Southern Granville County. When the volunteer investigated, it was learned that the two individuals had discarded the bodies of three young pit bull terriers. Raleigh – Crews from NCDOT Division 5, which includes Wake and Durham counties, as well as Franklin, Granville, Warren, Vance and Person counties, made considerable progress on clearing major highways through the day. Vance County Bus Collison
On February 24, 2015 around 12:02 PM officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to the area of NC-39 and Vicksboro Road, Henderson regarding a motor vehicle collision. Collison involved a 2004 four-door Honda and a Vance County School bus.
