Volunteers are being sought as part of the Henderson-Vance Spring Litter Sweep Week, April 15-20, to help rake and clear leaves from Rock Bridge Cemetery, located just south of Henderson. Spring Litter Sweep organizers would like to have volunteers raking and clearing leaves at the cemetery, located off Old Epsom Road at Skenes Avenue just south of Henderson, during the morning of Saturday, April 20. VGCC to hold Benefit Golf Tournament on May 7
The 29th annual Vance-Granville Community College Endowment Fund Golf Tournament will be held at the Henderson Country Club on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Last year’s tournament raised a record-high $33,250 from entry fees and from sponsors, adding to the more than $400,000 that has been raised by VGCC tournaments since 1985. The 16th Full Frame Documentary Film Festival begins Thursday at various locations in downtown Durham and runs through April 7.
