Sorry for the delay, but I have here your Christmas present, the full Christmas tree lighting ceremony. This actually took place on November 29th, 2011. It was cold, and windy, so you’ll likely hear wind noise from my cheap camera mic, and it was already dark, so the video is quite dark. Update – Charlotte Pendergrass, Sought for Felonies, Turned Herself In

Updated on 12/21/2011 – On December 20, 2011, Charlotte Pendergrass turned herself into the Henderson Police Department after her wanted picture being posted in numerous media outlets. Ms. Pendergrass was charged with four counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense and four counts of misdemeanor worthless checks. State Unemployment Rate Drops to 10 Percent in November

RALEIGH — The number of people unemployed in North Carolina decreased in November as the unemployment rate decreased to 10 percent, down from 10.4 percent. Total nonfarm jobs grew slightly by 3,800 in November with the private sector gaining 4,600 jobs. The public sector shed 800 jobs. “The drop in the unemployment rate was significant,” said N.C. The Henderson Police Department is recognizing two officers as Co-Officers of the Month for November 2011. On November 27, 2011, Section 3 officers were dispatched to the Henderson Convention Center on Wortham Court to assist the Vance County Sheriff’s Department with a large crowd.
