Wednesday Open Line
Tuesday (yesterday) morning, George Rush from WIZS gave me a call, and asked if I could be at the radio station in about 15 minutes to be on town talk. I said sure, if you think it would be of interest, and jotted down some quick notes and took off down the street. I put a quick comment on tuesday’s open line about it just before I left, so I apologize for the no warning. However, WIZS put’s the hour …

The text of the bill contains the following: an employer is entitled, without the express authorization of the employee, to obtain medical records of the employee and communicate with an employee’s health care providers if …
Tuesday Open Line
I’d like to thank everyone for the warm welcome! Still checking out some a few bugs, an issue with password changes not functioning properly, and have modified the way we count comment ratings. Thanks to mudball and Ira for the tips. I know Ira didn’t mean any wrong, he was just testing it out like I asked everyone to do. However, I had to modify a policy I hoped to keep. Unfortunately, for those that knew how, it was possible …

We’d like to thank everyone for trying to be patient during our downtime. We have been busy redesigning what you see here, from what you can see on your screen to behind the scenes as well. …
HiH Website Update
Due to mounting health concerns, I am unable to continue as the editor and publisher of Home in Henderson. I’ve known this day would come since I had my heart attack in 2008. It is only sheer cussedness that has allowed me to continue as long as I have since then. And I’ve paid the price.

Elissa Yount: Cleaning up after the city
It is one thing to clean up for the city, but when you have to clean up after the city, that is asking too much. Most everyone in the city has to pick up litter along the streets that others have thrown out. We cannot expect the litter control workers in the city to get everything. There was a time when a crew consistently and regularly picked up trash along Beckford Drive. That is the only place in the city …
