Proposed Henderson budget hikes taxes, fees
Before delving into some of the details of his proposed fiscal year 2011 budget, Henderson City Manager Ray Griffin characterized the document as “the worst budget since 1981”.

County public safety commitee meets today
Please be informed that the Vance County Board of Commissioners’ Public Safety Committee is scheduled to meet today, Monday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m. in the office of County Manager Jerry Ayscue. The purpose is to discuss jail renovations and fire department matters. Ayscue’s office is located in the County Administration Building, 122 Young Street in Henderson, North Carolina.

The Vance County Board of Education will hold a budget work session on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in the Administrative Services Center located at 1724 Graham Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina. The purpose of the session is to consider the current expense budget for 2010-2011.
