Hester files intent to sue 20 HiH bloggers for libel
** UPDATED ** HiH files motion to quash subpoena of Feingold Former Vance County Commission member and current Republican commission candidate Thomas (Tommy) Hester has filed with the Superior Court of Vance County his intention to file libel suits against 20 individuals who have posted comments on Home in Henderson (Case Number 10 CVS 361).

Five years ago, we’d have toughed it out to see what the Henderson City Council came out of closed session with no matter how long it took. In 2010, we just don’t have that kind of stamina. (It’s amazing how a body can age in five years.) How will the county react to the proposed water rate of $3.17/1,000 gallons? Will there be room for compromise? City applies for $300k grant for REEF Project
Henderson City Planning and Development Director Erris Dunston told members of the Henderson City Council yesterday that a $300,000 grant from the North Carolina Division of Community Assistance would complete the $1.2 million in funding needed for the initial phase of the REEF (Recreation, Education, Economic, and Family) Project.
