City & county cops recover stolen car, make arrest
On April 8, 2010 around 4:00 p.m. officers with the Henderson Police Department received a call in reference to a vehicle, a 1994 Honda Accord, which had just been stolen from the parking lot of JJ’s Fish and Chicken located at 1202 E. Andrews Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina.
HPD goes on-line with NCAWARE
On April 7, 2010 the Henderson Police Department became on-line with the NCAWARE, the North Carolina Warrant Repository.

County to demolish 5 abandoned mobile home
455 abandoned mobile homes tallied in county site visits Vance County Planning & Development Director Jordan McMillen told Vance County Commissioner’s during this past Monday’s regular monthly meeting that an identification study had found 455 abandoned mobile homes in 950 site visits.

County approves Kittrell conference center concept
The Vance County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the concept of a conference center in Kittrell proposed for constructed on land belonging to the North Carolina Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church.

County HR meeting at 5:15 today
Home in Henderson was informed this morning that the Vance County Board of Commissioners’ Human Resource Committee is meeting today at 5:15 p.m. in the office of County Manager Jerry Ayscue. Ayscue’s office is located at 122 Young Street in Henderson, North Carolina. No further information about the meeting was made available.
