Email retention review committee announced

Raleigh — The membership of a special panel that will conduct a comprehensive review of policies concerning the retention of e-mail messages under the North Carolina’s public records law was announced yesterday by North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley.
763 DWI citations in state St. Patrick’s Day campaign
Raleigh – Gov. Mike Easley announced today that state and local law enforcement officers cited 763 motorists for driving while impaired during a St. Patrick’s Day “Booze It & Lose It” campaign, which ran March 14-17.

HPD arrests and incidents
Arrests – James Robinson, of 5510 Penrith Drive, Durham, was arrested at Wal-mart for larceny of $94.50 worth of various food items. He was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $300 secured bond.
County planning/environmental committee to meet
The Vance County Board of Commissioners’ Planning/Environmental Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in County Manager Jerry Ayscue’s conference room. No meeting agenda was provided.

Arrests – Xavier Judd, of 111 S. Clark Street, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, and maintaining a vehicle used for keeping and selling a controlled substance. Judd was placed in the Vance County Jail on a $20,000 secured bond.
