Well, the kids are finally at home for the summer, and this editor is feeling dog tired. Summer school begins for students on June 18, where students will get two more cracks at the End-of-Grade test(s) that will play a major part in determining their placement for the next 180 days of school. Tonight the Vance County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the fiscal 2007-2008 budget during their regular meeting tonight in their chambers in the County Administration Building at 6:00 p.m.
