HPD announces promotions

Henderson Police Department’s Sgt. Lamont Burchette, Lt. Chris Ball, & Sgt. Kendall Riddick

The Henderson Police Department has announced the following promotions:


Henderson Police Department Chief Keith Sidwell

Sgt. Christopher Ball has been promoted to Lieutenant and assumed command of the Special Operations Division.

Lt. Chris Ball and retired Lt. Charles Pulley

Ball began his career with the Henderson Police Department on January 13, 2005 in the Operations Division. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to sergeant on January 26, 2009, assuming supervision over the Criminal Investigations Division.

Sgt. Kendall Riddick

Detective Kendall Riddick was promoted to Detective Sergeant. He will be assuming duties as the Criminal Investigations Division Supervisor. Riddick began his career with the Henderson Police Department on November 28, 2002 in the Operations Division. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to Police Officer III on April 3, 2008.

Lt. Lamont Burchette

Detective Lamont Burchette will be promoted to Sergeant. He will assume duties as a supervisor in the Operations Division.

Burchette began his career with the Henderson Police Department on December 18, 2003 in the Operations Division. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to Police Officer III on April 3, 2008.

A promotional ceremony was held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Henderson Police Department.
