Mike Brafford of the accounting firm Phillips, Dorsey, Thomas, Waters & Brafford told Henderson City Council members on Monday evening that his firm had issued an unqualified opinion regarding the city’s finances.
More charges filed against burglary suspect
Update: On January 25th, 2010 members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division charged Freddaire Hargrove with breaking and entering, felony larceny, and injury to real property in relation to the breaking and entering to the residence of 200 Wester Avene in Henderson, North Carolina on August 27, 2009.

Council rejects truck stop zoning amendment
Recommends Planning Board put moratorium on truck stops and freight terminal facilities until matter is studied more thoroughly Planning & Community Development Director Erris Dunston told the Henderson City Council during its regular short meeting yesterday evening that the Planning Board heard a request to allow truck stops and freight transfer facilities in industrial zones within the city on December 7, 2009 and voted unanimously to send the amendment to the council as a recommendation.

On January 23, 2010, Tamil Robinson, 19, of 801 Water Street in Henderson, North Carolina was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, discharging a weapon into a occupied dwelling, possession of a handgun by a minor, and going armed to the terror of the public.
