The Henderson Police Department would like to inform the public of a recent speed limit change on Beckford Drive.
Novelty lighters banned in NC
Beginning yesterday, it is illegal to sell or give away novelty lighters in North Carolina. Novelty lighters are defined as looking like toys, cartoon or other characters, pens, and other objects not normally associated with lighters. Drewry VFD to hold dinner fund raiser Oct. 10
The Drewry Volunteer Fire Department will hold a dinner plate fund raiser on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For $8 per plate, donors have a choice of a barbecue pork or fried chicken entrée along with potatoes, cole slaw, hush puppies, and a beverage.
