Abandoned house program structure discussed
Code Enforcement Director Corey Williams appeared before the Land Planning and Development Committee on February 15 to explain the procedural guidelines regarding abandoned structures.

Land Planning and Development Chair Bobby Gupton distributed copies of the ordinance form of the yard sale regulations at the meeting of his committee on Wednesday afternoon.

Monday’s open line
Weather permitting, the Public Works Committee will meet in City Hall at 9:00 a.m. The Search and Transition Committee is scheduled to meet in City Hall at 4:00 p.m. The word for today is “civility”. With that, the lines are open for debate.
Guest presentations at city council
The first of the public comments at Monday’s city council meeting was made by former city council candidate and local businesswoman Sara Coffey of Coffey’s Bail Bonds and Private Investigations.
Council orders demolitions, with stay
The Henderson City Council ordered the demolition of 747 and 753 Alexander Avenue at Monday evening’s regular meeting. Both properties are owned by Kenneth Stevenson.

Wednesday’s open line
The Clean Up Henderson Committee meets today at 8:00 a.m. in the City Operation Center’s Conference Room. Also, the FAIR Committee meets at 3:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers and the Land Planning Committee will meet at 4:00 p.m. in the same location. We are slowly returning to health and hope to resume normal coverage tomorrow, whatever that is.
