County water committee to meet July 13

Sanitation dept. summer hours begin July 1

Toddler dies of accidental gunshot injury
WRAL is reporting that a two year-old child has died of a self-inflicted accidental gunshot. The incident occurred at 491 Daniel Harris Road in Vance County.

Firearm arrest by HPD power shift bike patrol
On June 14, 2010 around 11:00 a.m. two officers with the Power Shift Unit of the Henderson Police Department were conducting bike patrol in the area of North Garnett Street in Henderson, North Carolina when a vehicle passed emitting an odor of marijuana.
