In response to citizen complaints, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit conducted an investigation into illegal narcotic sales at 305 Jane Avenue in Henderson. The investigation culminated Wednesday, December 3, 2014 with members of the unit executing a search warrant at the residence. Department of Transportation and the Governor’s Highway Safety Program kicked off the Thanksgiving “Click It or Ticket” later Monday at a news conference at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh. Vance County Schools – Walking Classroom at Carver Elementary
Letitia Fields and Regina Miles are leading their students through unique learning opportunities with the use of their “Walking Classroom” instructional materials at Carver Elementary School. Fields’ fifth graders and Miles’ fourth graders are among the students who use the miniature disc players and headphones to listen to the audio instruction as they walk around the school’s campus.
