Fourteen graduate from CNA Program at VGCC South Campus

Vance-Granville Community College recently honored 14 students who completed the Certified Nursing Assistant I program on a daytime schedule at the college’s South Campus in Granville County. Their graduation ceremony was held on May 10 at South Campus. South Campus director Derrick Cameron welcomed and congratulated the graduates. Graduating student Alan Manley opened with a prayer. Artists are invited to submit their works for the 46th annual Kerr Lake Art Show, which will be open to the public June 11-15. VGCC Board Approves New Rates for Day Care

The Vance-Granville Community College Board of Trustees held its bimonthly meeting on Monday, May 21 at the college’s Henderson campus. During that meeting, the Board approved new rates for the college’s Day Care centers. VGCC offers child day care at the Main Campus and the Franklin County Campus. NASA Showing Docking of Private Spacecraft SpaceX Dragon to Internation Space Station

Visit http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/ustream.html now if you’d like to watch, the docking is scheduled around 11:20am this morning.   The first private spacecraft to supply the International Space Station (ISS) made its final preparations for docking Friday, with the unmanned craft “fine-tuning” its approach, NASA said. The SpaceX Dragon received the go-ahead from NASA to proceed toward the ISS. The Dragon capsule is due to dock with the ISS about 11:20am ET on Friday.
