Old Franklinton Road in Granville County bridge to close Monday for replacement project

RALEIGH — A bridge on Old Franklinton Road in Granville County will be closing on Monday, May 14, as work begins on a $630,367 project to replace the structure over Ford Creek, northwest of Franklinton. The 52-year-old bridge is considered structurally deficient and functionally obsolete. It is still safe, but has been requiring maintenance and repair and eventually needed to be replaced.
