VGCC volunteers contribute to success of UNC-TV fundraiser
Vance-Granville Community College recently sent a group of 36 volunteers to Research Triangle Park to continue the college’s tradition of helping UNC-TV with the public broadcasting network’s on-air “Festival 2012” fundraiser. This was the eighth consecutive year that the college participated in the Festival, and the volunteer group was among VGCC’s largest ever. Vance-Granville Community College is currently registering students for Medical Terminology, the first of four courses in the Medical Coding certificate program. Classes will be held in Building 7 on VGCC’s Main Campus on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 until 9 p.m., May 22 through Sept. 1.
