County votes to proceed with water plans

Armed Robbery On November 20, 2008, at about 9:30 p.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the Subway restaurant located at 1520 Dabney Drive in reference to an armed robbery.

At this month’s meeting of the North Carolina State Board of Education, members approved recommended interim cut scores and achievement level descriptors for the NCEXTEND1 alternate assessments in reading and mathematics, the final cut scores and achievement level descriptors for the NCCLAS reading and mathematics grade 3 pretest and final cut scores and achievement level descriptors for the North Carolina reading grade 3 pretest.

City hall opens house this evening
The City of Henderson’s City Hall will hold an open house today from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Henderson Mayor Pete O’Geary has invited all citizens to “come and share the beautiful building with all of the staff”.
City will apply for sewer hook-up grant
Kerr-Tar Council of Governments Executive Director Timmy Baynes told members of the Henderson City Council that his organization will oversee the statutory requirements of a grant that will allow city residents with water service to hook up to the sewer system for a nominal cost.
