Vance-Granville Community College’s first-ever “Fine Arts Day” celebra tion on Oct. 14 featured a wide range of examples of creativity and talent by both students and professionals. WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. House of Representatives passed two bills authored by Congressman G. K. RALEIGH — With harvest nearing completion, growers and some home gardeners are likely beginning to think about taking soil samples to prepare for the next growing season. The N.C. Arrest Made from Shooting on West Andrews Avenue

On Friday morning, October 16, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department Patrol Operations Division responded to Gate City Foods, 601 W. Andrews Avenue in Henderson. Arriving officers found Jimmie Davis, 26, suffering from a gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Davis and another individual, Dyquarium Moore were fired upon after they exited the store.
