Arrest made in Nicholas Street robbery
On April 3, 2009, Darryl Lee Bumpass, Jr., 19, of 217 Turner Avenue, was arrested and charged after an investigation was conducted by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division concerning three common law robberies which occurred within the past several months.

Two county meetings scheduled for Monday
The Vance County Board of Commisioners’ Planning and Environmental Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, April 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the office of County Manager Jerry Ayscue. A Human Resources Committee meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2009 at 5:15 p.m. The location of the meeting was not provided. No agenda was provided for either of the two Monday meetings.
