Arrests – Mark Lamont Brown, of 400 N. Oliver Drive, was arrested for driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. He was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $500 secured bond.

WRAL is reporting this afternoon that Shahita White, daughter of Vance County Sheriff Peter White, was charged with driving under the influence in connection with a traffic stop that occurred this year during the Easter holiday weekend.

Arrests – Bernice Shearin, of 765 A. N. Garnett Street, was arrested for larceny. She was released on a $500 unsecured bond.

Arrests – Robert B. Daniel, of 3546 Country Lane, Oxford, was arrested for larceny of a pair of mens short pants from Belks Departments Store. The pants were valued at $48. He was released under a $300 secured bond.

On June 24, 2008, officers of the Henderson Police Department received a call in reference to a suspicious vehicle at 118 Wester Avenue.

Arrests – Thomas Randolph Jordan, of 127 New Circle Lane, was arrested for obstructing and delaying an officer. He was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $500 secured bond.

On December 29, 2007 at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the Wilco Hess convenience store located at 1640 N. Garnett Street in reference to a report of a breaking, entering, and larceny.

– Kenneth Turner, of 926 Alexander Avenue, was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $500 secured bond.

Shooting at America’s Best Value Inn On June 14, 2008 at 12:30 a.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to 200 Parham Road in reference to someone being shot.

On June 9, 2008, officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to 304 Harriet Street in response to a report of someone shot.

On May 21, 2008, a breaking and entering occurred at Kid to Kid Daycare located at 155 Spring Street.

– Tyrone Wimbush, of 711 Booth Avenue, was arrested for failing to appear on a drug paraphernalia charge. He was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $750 secured bond.

On April 15th, 2008 a breaking and entering occurred at the residence located at 1514 South Williams Street.

On May 15, 2008, an armed robbery occurred in the 300 block of Harriett Street.

– Christopher Grissom, of Rt. 1 Box 377, Norlina, was arrested for habitual driving while impaired and driving with license revoked. He was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.

On May 20, 2008 at 12:40 a.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to 615 Alexander Avenue regarding a report of gunshots and a loud disturbance.

Targeting the west side of Henderson, an undercover officer assisted with a prostitution operation towards the end of the “Operation Smoke Out” campaign.
