On Friday, April 4, 2008, at approximately 2:36 a.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the 800 block of Water Street in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Arrests – Elizabeth Bullock, of 111 Grace Street, Oxford, was arrested for larceny of two shirts from Belk’s Department Store. The shirts were valued at $55. She was confined to the Vance County Jail under a $300 secured bond.

Arrests – Rachel Judkins, of 3519 Jacksontown Road, was charged with driving while license revoked, child restraint violation, and fictitious registration plate. She was issued a citation and released.
Arrest made for shooting
Arrests – Jammee D. Terry, of 615 Vaughan Street, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Terry shot Amitarshus Southerland in the leg. Terry was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

Henderson Police Chief K.L. Sidwell reported Friday that members of his department’s Narcotics Unit and Criminal Investigations Division, along with assistance from the US Secret Service executed a search warrant on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the residence of 231 Southside Estates, Henderson, NC 27537.

Incident Reports March 22, 2008 – Larry Southerland, of Franklin Fencing, reported that someone broke into their business and stole three truck batteries ($230), miscellaneous tools, chain link fence, and conduit pipe.

Home Invasion Case On December 27, 2008, around 11:30 p.m., the Vance County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a home invasion robbery and sexual assault at a residence on Sombrero Lane in Henderson.
